Annual Disaster Day
Disaster Day is returning to Six Flags New England this year. This course is designed for the Baystate Health Emergency Medicine Residents, ED RNs, and EMS. We will have a wide variety of providers here from both in and out of hospital present the core material. We have listened to feedback from the previous years and have come up with 6 unique stations! These will include stations on Chest Injuries, Crush Injuries, Neuro Injuries, Adult & Pediatric Triage, and Hemorrhage Control. After rotating through the 6 stations in the morning, we will have lunch and then 2 MCI drills featuring both in and out of hospital scenarios in the afternoon. 4 hours of OEMS CEU credits approved. 4 hours of RN CME pending. There is no fee for this course so register now!!
July 2025 - Check back for registration link soon!
Ethics Course
2 hours of CEU credit. This course is designed for those who were not compliant with regional M&M requirements, however, may meet other requirements as needed.
Interfacility Transport Course
This two day course is intended to provide education on paramedic interfacility transfers (IFT) in and out of our Baystate Health hospitals. This is an OEMS approved 18 hour IFT class. It is open to all paramedics and the provider must attend both days to receive credit for this course. Topics in the program include transfer guidelines, OEMS protocols, ventilator management, high flow nasal cannula, pharmacology, specific equipment usage, and lab values. The course content will be presented by experienced IFT paramedics, CCT RNs, and physicians. Baystate Affiliated providers will be given preference if space becomes limited. Registration links below.
